Department of Environmental Science has three undergraduates¡¯ majors: Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Biology, Environmental Planning and Management; one M. A. major, three Ph. D. majort and one post-doctoral Circulation Station for Environmental Science and Engineering.
Based upon the idea of ¡°Extensively training, basically reinforcing, and teaching students in accordance of their aptitude¡±, the Department of Environmental Science has not only reinforced the teaching of the elementary common courses such as Computer Science, English and Environmental Study, but also reinforced the elementary major courses, i.e. Environmental Survey, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Biology, Environmental Management, Environmental Quality Appraisal, Environment Engineering, Environmental Economy, Application of Computer in Environmental Science.
Department of Environmental Science has a strong team of staff. At present, Department has undertaken lots of national science and research projects and international cooperated projects. Besides, it has also published piles of books, teaching materials and theses. The concentrations of Environmental Chemistry are the following: Environmental Pollution Chemistry, Environmental Analytical Chemistry, and Pollution Ecological Chemistry. The concentrations of Environmental Biology are the following: Ecological Toxicology; Biological Survey, and Environmental Biological Technology. The concentrations of Environmental Planning and Management are the following: Environmental Planning and Appraisal, Environmental Management and Policies, Environmental Basic laws, and Environmental Information System.
